Each one is made using the fibers of the loofah, harvested once its fruit is so ripe that its skin splits open upon striking the ground. Coming in a roll, each lump of loofah fiber is abrasive enough that a good buffing can smoothen calluses and improve circulation in an attempt to encourage regeneration of the affected area.
